FAQs

The Wedding Website of Maria Paz Gagó and Jean Pierre Lannou
Question

Can I bring someone else?

Answer

We have a strict Guest List due to space limitations. Please do not bring more guests unless they are specifically named on the invitation. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

The wedding will be adults only. However, we can obviously make exceptions for our foreigner friends and family.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes, see "Gift List" tab on our website.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, formal for the ceremony and the wedding reception.

Question

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?

Answer

Lima's seasons are opposite to the US and Europe, so it will be Spring in November. Expect temperatures between 65-75°F/ 18-24°C (usually in the lower range in the evening) and no rain at all.

Question

where to stay?

Answer

Miraflores and San Isidro are the best options. If you need help to book a hotel please let us know.

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

Traffic in Lima can be intense so we don't recommend renting a car. Instead you can use Uber which is very affordable and safe, and we'll also share information on trusted drivers and safe taxi options.

Question

What's the currency in Peru?

Answer

Peru's currency is the Sol (S/.) and the exchange rate is $1=S/.3.8-. You can exchange money at the airport and there are many exchange sites in the city as well. Though most places accept cards/apple pay and even payment in dollars, we do recommend having some peruvian money on you, especially smaller bills as many smaller/independent vendors take cash only.

Question

Is Lima safe?

Answer

Lima is a fairly safe destination for tourists. As with a large city, opportunistic crime, especially theft, is prevalent. Be street smart and aware: don't leave your purse, bag, or phone unattended, and avoid walking around with valuables on obvious display.

Question

Can I drink tap water?

Answer

Tap water in Peru, and basically most of South America is not safe to drink. We recommend being careful when it comes to tap water. Drink bottled water instead. Also if you try street food be cautious of fresh fruit and ice.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive at 11.30am.

Question

When should I RSVP By?

Answer

Please confirm attendance by September 15th.

For all the days along the way
