Located right by the main train station, the Opera house is nice to look at, walk on and take pictures with.
Go catch a glimpse of the world-famous "Scream"!
Super great picnic spot for when you're done taking in Munch's art.
Super cool museum with historical houses from all over Norway. On weekends, there are often folk dance shows etc. Also has its own farm + a stave church which was built in the 1200s. The best way to get here is to take a ferry from Aker Brygge. That way, you get some fjord time as well.
Food and beer from all over the world. Great place to stop by while strolling along Akerselva! Favorites: the French duck sandwich, all the cheese, ice cream from Rørosis.
This river cuts the city in half, and has lots of history attached to it. Makes for a very pleasant walk and will take you to many of the nicest neighborhoods. Start out at Grønland (which is not that nice but you'll get out of it straight away) and walk up along it - you'll hit some nice bars and restaurants on the way.
This sculpture park also gives you a great view of the city and is more of a forest area with cool sculptures in it than it is a park. So nature! Art! great views! All good things. There's also a very nice restaurant here which is worth a visit. Plus, it's a short walk away from the church and where we live!
