Open M-S, 8:00-2:30 PM The Central Market of Valencia is an architectural beauty. Here you will be able to experience a typical valenciano market. There are small bites to eat, horchata to drink and if you are willing to make the wait we had a great meal at Central Bar by Ricard Camarena inside of the mercat. Make sure to put your name on the waiting list before making the line and best for smaller parties as the bar seating area is very limited. Francesco still dreams about the rabo encendido.
The City of Arts and Sciences is a cultural and architectural (Calatrava) complex in the city of Valencia, Spain. Beautiful to walk around on the outskirts to take in the view and if you are traveling with children, the aquarium is a great stop as well!
This small and beautiful medieval village is located in the center of one of the most picturesque valleys of the Costa Blanca: The Guadalest Valley. Surrounded by some of the most emblematic mountains of Alicante, such as the Sierra de Xortà, the Serrella, the Sierra de Bèrnia and the Sierra de Aitana, Guadalest is one of the main tourist attractions of Alicante, due to its proximity to Benidorm and the great beauty of its natural environment. I recommend wearing sneakers for this visit as the uphill cobblestone can be difficult to manage in other footwear.
Be sure to visit the liveliest spot in the village of Altea. Here you can find musicians out in the streets, loads of artisan shops, and lovely restaurants. Walk around the cobblestone streets of the town's peak and be sure to stop by the mirador for one of the best views of the town's coastline.
Just a 10 minute drive from Altea, Fuentes de Algar (Algar waterfalls) is a must see. Here you can walk a 1.5km path along the channel of the Algar river where you will see some spectacular waterfalls and natural spring pools where those feeling bold can take a dip in the water that is a consistent 65 degrees year-round!
