Please let us know if you will be attending no later than August 11
The ceremony will begin at 5:00 PM, please arrive by 4:30 PM.
There is plenty of parking available if you wish to drive - if you do, please drive responsibly!
There will be a shuttle bus transporting guests to the venue from both hotels. For those of you staying in Cap Negret, the shuttle bus will depart promptly at 3:45 PM. For those of you staying at Villa Gadea, the shuttle bus will depart promptly at 4:00 PM. There is plenty of parking available at the Finca should you wish to drive, please drive responsibly. We have also arranged for a shuttle to be available to transport guests back to the hotels from the Finca starting at 12:00 AM. If you are not staying at one of the hotels, please take advantage of the shuttle service to Villa Gadea where there is a taxi stand. If you happen to miss the scheduled pick up times, please refer to the taxi contact provided in our "Accommodations/Travel" link. Reminder that this is a small town where taxi services may take longer than expected.
Altea is a small town, unfortunately with no Uber/Lyft services. There are cabs, but those can take quite a while. For these reasons, we would recommend renting a car to get around. Altea is centrally located between the cities of Alicante and Valencia making it a great basecamp for day trips.
If you're traveling from far away, you're going to want to fly into Madrid. From there you can either take a connecting 1 hour flight or hop on the 3 hour train to Alicante (if you're a small party and packed light, we would recommend the train option). Trains to Alicante depart from both Atocha and Chamartin stations. We recommend taking a taxi from the airport (cost: 30 euros, cash or cards accepted) but you can also take a train directly from the airport to the station. Follow this link for instructions on the train: https://youtu.be/sYVvXSSJzz0 Trains tickets to Alicante can be purchased online with Renfe: https://www.renfe.com/es/es/experiencias/rutas/madrid-alicante Once in Alicante, you're a 45 min car ride from Altea. For this we would recommend renting a car. Or you can always find a taxi out of either the airport or train station to get you to Altea. There are several car rental agencies available near both the airport and train station in Alicante. If you're traveling from closer by, you can probably fly directly into Alicante or Valencia. Valencia is a little farther of a drive from Altea (about 75 min) but is close enough if this is your best airport option.
New regulations in Spain now require an international driver’s license in order to rent a car. Please follow this link in order to obtain one: https://e-ita.org/logging-in-to-the-customer-portal/
That strange guy drinking a beer in lederhosen is our dear friend Sergio. His birthday just so happens to fall on our wedding day. Please make sure to wish him a happy birthday so he can feel just as special as the bride and groom.
