Our Celebration is on Saturday 9/21. We'll be at Crescent Boat Club starting at 5:30 p.m. but you do not need to arrive exactly on time! We'll have lawn games and a cocktail hour to start, food and drinks throughout the evening, a dessert table, and an eventual dance party.
Cocktail attire - feel free to get fancy but comfortable!
There is no ceremony this weekend! By the time we see you on 9/21, we will have had a small ceremony with immediate family earlier in the summer. This weekend is about bringing friends and family together to celebrate.
You can most easily find parking on Lemon Hill (take Sedgley Dr. up from Kelly Dr., anywhere on that road is fine). There are limited spots on Kelly Dr. in front of the boathouses (but make sure to read the signs). There is also a parking lot by Lloyd Hall (1 Boathouse Row) that is 2-hour parking only. If you park anywhere in this area, please do not leave any valuables in your car. This is the city after all, and it's best to be safe.
Yes! Kiddos are invited if you’d like to bring them :) If you’d rather have a night out without them, we totally get that too— it’s up to you!
100%! We're just adding a little movement, coffee, and breakfast tacos (a few of our favorite things) to our weekend. You are more than welcome to come for a walk, come for a jog, try to outrun the group, or simply enjoy the morning by the river with us. This is not forced fun - so you can also choose to do your own thing in the morning and be ready to party in the evening!
A European and Western Pennsylvanian tradition, the dessert table will feature a cake made by our friend Julia, desserts made by our families (including some Argentinean favorites), and the opportunity for our guests (you!) to contribute any homemade desserts you love to the party. This is *completely optional*! We understand that many of your are traveling and staying in a hotel/AirBnb without the ability or time to bake. If you would like to contribute to the Mesa de Postres, this should only be a small portion (think: a dozen cookies or one pie, for example). You do not need to be able to feed the whole party! The idea is that the table creates a fun and tasty communal experience. The best part? Everyone (yes, everyone, even if you did not bring a dessert) is encouraged to take some home. We will provide containers for you.
