What is the Dress Code?

Answer

We kindly request guests wear Garden Party Cocktail Attire! Please feel free to have fun with florals or pastel spring colors! We ask that ladies wear knee length or floor length dresses or pantsuits, and men wear suits or sports coats of any color.

Will the event be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors, with the reception moving indoors afterward. Both the ceremony and cocktail hour are scheduled for the evening, once the heat of the day has (hopefully!) passed. We’ll also have a variety of options available to help guests stay cool and comfortable during the ceremony.

Will there be food and drinks during cocktail hour?

Answer

Yes! There will be an open bar with cocktails, wine, and beer, as well as a selection of hors d'oeuvres.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to space limitations, we’re only able to accommodate the guests listed on your save the date and invitation at this time. As we get closer to the wedding date and receive RSVPs, we may be able to extend a few additional plus ones. Please feel free to reach out and ask. Thank you for understanding!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

To allow all of our guests to fully relax and enjoy the evening, we’ve chosen to make our wedding an adults-only celebration.

Is parking available?

Answer

Yes! Parking is free and there are enough spaces available for each guest if they wish to drive.

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

Answer

Yes! There will be a casual drop-in welcome party on the outdoor patio of the Fairfield Marriott Inn and Suites Hotel on Saturday April 3rd. Details to come.

Have we reserved room blocks at any hotels?

Answer

We will reserve a room block at the Fairfield Marriott Inn and Suites Hotel in Shelby. Please see the "Travel" tab. Additional details for booking are TBD.

What is the best airport to use?

Answer

The nearest airport to the venue is the Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT). The CLT airport is about 40 mins away from the Fairfield Marriott Inn and Suites where we will have a hotel block.

What time will the wedding reception end?

Answer

The wedding reception will end promptly at 10:00pm.

Can I Bring outside substances to the venue?

Answer

We ask that guests do not bring any drugs illegal in the state of North Carolina or any outside alcohol to the venue as this is strictly prohibited and will lead to fines. Cigarette smoking is permitted in designated areas of the property.
