Travel Note

How long should you stay?

How long you stay is completely up to you but we would recommend at least Friday evening-Monday midday. This will allow you enough time to get settled before the wedding and not be stressed about leaving early after the reception. If you're coming into town early, be sure to let us know

Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART)

The BART is a subway system for the San Francisco/Oakland area and is a great way to travel if you want to explore Oakland, San Francisco or San Jose. We recommend can buying a Clipper card in person which can be used to access most of the public transportation in the Bay. You add $20 to the card at a time and the average ride is around $4. There are stations at both airports

Elevated but Affordable: DoubleTree by Hilton Napa Valley American Canyon

Elevated but Affordable: This option is the best of both worlds offering an elevated experience but is only 12 minutes away from the wedding! Enjoy their spa, pool, and on-site restaurant for just a little more than the most affordable option!

Balling on a Budget: Moxy Oakland Downtown

The Moxy is our favorite hotel in Oakland because it puts you right in the center of downtown Oakland and has an upscale, modern vibe! This is just blocks from where we live and is the best option if you're on a budget but plan to explore Oakland or San Fransisco while you are in town. It's centrally located so about 35 minutes away from the wedding.

The Heart of Downtown Oakland: Oakland Marriott City Center

Staying here puts you in the center of the cultural experience that is downtown Oakland. It is directly across the street from a BART station so it's ideal if you would like to use public transportation to get to your hotel and explore! In terms of cost, its more affordable than the Napa and Vallejo options and provides a quality experience! This is just down the street from where we live so if you stay here, stop by and say hi when you arrive

Close and most affordable: Choose this option for your standard hotel accommodations without any of the extras. Bonus this hotel is 10 minutes from the wedding venue!

Wine Country Retreat Experience: Archer Hotel Napa

This hotel is for you if you want a luxurious stay and plan to check out some of the wineries in Napa Valley. It is located in the heart of downtown Napa and has an amazing rooftop bar and multiple restaurants

Upscale Extended Stay in Napa: The Westin Verasa Napa

If you prefer to stay in Napa and want the full vineyard experience with all the luxury add ons this is the place for you! While it is a bit farther from the airport, it is just minutes from the Napa Valley Wine train and tons of restaurants! We'd recommend getting rental and staying a few extra days if you want to stay here

Flight

Oakland International Airport

OAK is a smaller airport but alot easier to travel from to your hotel. This would be ideal if you are planning a shorter stay because it is closer to the wedding venue and hotels we recommend. Since it's smaller, there are fewer food options and amenities inside the airport but moving through security takes less than 10 minutes! It is also simpler to navigate. Turn on Google flight notifications for both SFO and OAK airports now so you can buy at the lowest price!

Flight

San Francisco International Airport

The SFO airport is pretty busy but will provide the greatest variety of flights. If you plan to explore San Francisco after the wedding, we'd recommend flying into it. It is farther from the wedding venue so if you are flying in on Sunday, we would not recommend SFO because you will get stuck in traffic.
