Live at 5
One of the hallmarks of a Talkeetna summer is our community Live at 5 concert series. This is a free concert that takes place in the Talkeetna Village Park in downtown Talkeetna every Friday of the summer months from 5pm-7pm. Grab some drinks and a blanket and join the community of Talkeetna for this beloved event.
Fairview Inn
This bar is a cornerstone of Talkeetna and fully embodies the Alaska spirit. It would be a shame to visit Talkeetna without at least checking it out for a quick drink or some ping pong on the back patio. There is also a small farmers market in the back beer garden area of the Fairview on Fridays from 5pm-7pm.
Denali Brewpub
Denali Brewpub is the original location of Denali Brewing (the maker of Jen's favorite beer). This is a great place to eat or grab a drink on their excellent deck and rub elbows with some locals (Mariah's dad more than likely among them).
Talkeetna Inn (The Teepee)
This is fun little dive bar with a free pool table.
Talkeetna Spinach Bread
This airstream food truck is known across the state of Alaska. Not only is their spinach bread amazing, but their daily summer specials are some of the best meals you can find in Talkeetna. There is usually a wait, but its well worth it. They also have a rotating breakfast menu including really good burritos.
