We love your kiddos, but this is an ADULTS ONLY event. We want you to be able to relax and enjoy the night with us. Please arrange for childcare on our special day. Out of town guests who may need support with childcare, please let us know and we will do our best to assist. Children are welcome at the Aviary Brunch.

Please dress in cocktail/semi-formal outfits that make you feel confident, beautiful, and dance-ready!

Question

What will the weather be like at that time of year in Pittsburgh?

Answer

The weather in August for Pittsburgh is typically in the Mid-80s. Our ceremony space is an older church with large cooling fans, but our Reception space is air conditioned and ready for a night of dancing!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please plan to arrive at the church 45 min before the ceremony begins (2:15 PM). This will assure that all guests are on-time, and we can get the party started as planned!

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

For the Ceremony: 1. St. Mary of the Mount Church Lot at 403 Grandview Ave. Located beside the church and accessed from Grandview Ave, this lot is carriage parking (cars line up bumper to bumper) and includes several Handicap Parking Spaces in the entrance driveway. 2. Bertha Street Lot. Located across the street from the St. Mary of the Mount Parking lot accessed from Bertha Ave. This is a "park at your own risk" lot. It is gravel and has not particular lines. It also gets a bit soft in the rain. 3. Street Parking where available. There is parking on Grandview Ave. and the surrounding streets. Saturdays on Grandview you may have to pay for parking before 6PM. For the Reception: 1. Ft. Duquesne & Sixth Garage - 126 6th St, Pittsburgh PA 15222 (~$8) 2. Riverfront Center Garage - 625 Stanwix Street, Pittsburgh PA 15222 (~$10) 3. Sixth and Penn Garage - 546 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh PA 15222 ($15) 4. Street Parking - by Point State Park

Question

Is there transportation?

Answer

We will have transportation available from the Renaissance, to the church, and back! Uber and Lyft are reliable choices in Pittsburgh for all your transportation needs during the weekend! The Turo app is a reliable and cheaper option if you are interested in renting a car.

Question

Is this an Unplugged Ceremony?

Answer

No, please feel free to take photos and videos throughout the day. We just ask you to have your phone silenced during the Ceremony, and be respectful as to not block our photographer.
