Are Getting Married

A befitting description of our dynamic, perhaps it is no coincidence that Spitfire is also the name of the coffee shop where we first met. Somehow we managed not to melt in the sweltering summer heat long enough to get caffeinated and get to know one another. This first date ended with a kiss on the cheek and many butterflies had by all.

Over the summer we packed up the gang and headed to Tennessee to meet in the middle with a friend exchanging one of our many foster kittens to her forever home in Michigan. On the summer solstice we all got up and took a hike to make the most of our quick trip. On the way up there was much sweating and tripping (none of these city slickers remembered hiking shoes). Once at the lookout I noticed Youssef seemed pretty green, thinking maybe the altitude was making him sick. That is until he told me he had something to ask me. In front of our closet friends, at the most beautiful mountain scene, he asked me to marry him.
