We met in university in 2008 when we both attended our first Engineers Without Borders meeting. We shared some classes and we became good friends, studying and volunteering together, and eventually falling for one another. We started dating in 2011 and had our first date at Pi Pizzeria. We moved to BC in 2014 and have only grown more in love since.
Seth proposed when we visited Vietnam in May 2018 in Ancient Hoi An Town. After a day relaxing at the beach, we returned to find our hotel room covered in rose petals. Seth proposed and we celebrated our engagement with a romantic boat ride through the old town, which is lit every night by thousands of paper lanterns.
We can't wait to get married in our home province. We're two people who are now split between our love for two different places. We can't imagine getting married anywhere but in Newfoundland and we're excited to share our special day with all our friends and family from both Newfoundland and BC and everywhere in between. August is our favourite time to come home and we're looking forward to catching up with our old friends and showing our new friends what a vibrant place Newfoundland is.
