Elisa's outgoing demeanor, top-notch musical taste and ability to laugh at just about anything is what Maria loves best about this girl.

Though it took some time for the connection to click, once it did Maria found a friend for life. Nina can always be counted for sound advice and times over a glass (or 5) of wine. You can talk to her about just anything, just don't ask her about her spirit animal.

However that awkwardness turned into a tight bond and good times through high school and college. Cher is credited for giving Maria her nickname, "Ree."
