Maria and Cody first met ten years ago on move-in day at Cal Poly, SLO, where they both studied Mechanical Engineering. Late-night library study sessions brought them closer, each quietly thrilled to have an excuse to spend time together. When Cody invited Maria to his fraternity’s formal in Las Vegas, their relationship blossomed from study buddies to sweethearts, and they shared an unforgettable senior year side by side. After graduation, Maria began her career in San Jose, California, while Cody's began in Seattle, Washington. Despite the distance, they knew their story was only just beginning, and a year later, Maria joined Cody in Seattle. Together, they fell in love with the Pacific Northwest, soaking in the natural beauty of its mountains & forests. When they’re not road tripping through a National Park, or car camping at a concert at the Gorge, they’re jet-setting to discover new cultures and experiences. Together they've traveled to over 12 international destinations - and counting! In the fall of 2024, on a bike ride through the rolling hills of Burgundy, France, Cody led Maria to a picturesque picnic spot overlooking the vineyards, got down on one knee, and asked her to marry him. They spent the rest of that magical day biking between wineries, sipping Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and sharing the joyous news with loved ones back home. Now, they’re beyond excited to gather friends and family in Hood River, Oregon, to celebrate their wedding amid the stunning backdrop of the Pacific Northwest. Combining their love of exploration and quality time with the people they adore most, Maria and Cody look forward to this new chapter. They can’t wait to share the beauty of the PNW with everyone they love.
