Oia
The most beautiful views of the whitewashed homes (those ones you saw in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) are in Oia. We suggest you make the trip and spend some time walking around and shopping. Try to get there at sunset to witness Oia in all its beauty! Note: If you will be joining us on the hike from Fira to Oia, we will end the hike in Oia. Also, the Welcome Event will be in Oia.
Ammoudi Fish Tavern
Walk (or take a donkey ride) down the iconic steps in Oia to Ammoudi Bay. Visit Ammoudi Bay Fish Tavern for some of the best seafood Santorini has to offer. Come hungry and be sure to eat some of Santorini's famous tomatokefdethes!
Akrotiri
This archaeological excavation site in Santorini features ruins from the city of Akrotiri, which was buried by a volcanic eruption in 1700 B.C., though the first habitation dates from the Late Neolithic times (4th millennium BC). For just €5 you can explore the massive visitor-friendly site where walkways lead you around the entire perimeter. There are not many placards or informational pamphlets, so if you would like the complete history during your visit hire a tour guide.
Nea Kameni
Nea Kameni is the volcanic island in the center of the Santorini caldera where you can hike to the top. Boat tours can easily be purchased at the old port in Fira. They will bring you to the crater and here you can take a steep, rocky climb to the top, passing incredible lava formations, smoking craters and fantastic views. Not something you get to see everyday!
Erosantorini
This is our wedding reception venue & private villa we will be staying in! Erosantorini is on a cliff, and it gets windy at night.
Volcano View Hotel Santorini
