Old San Juan

Castillo San Felipe del Morro San Juan
Castillo San Felipe del Morro, (El Morro) sits atop a high promontory overlooking the entrance to the San Juan Bay. It is the result of the efforts of Spanish engineers over a period of more than 250 years and is one of the largest fortifications built by the Spain in the Caribbean.
El Yunque
The El Yunque National Forest is the only tropical rain forest in the national forest system. At nearly 29,000 acres, it is one of the smallest in size, yet one of the most biologically diverse of the national forests hosting hundreds of animal and plant species, some of which are found only here.
Hacienda Carabalí

Condado

Meanwhile, trendy shopping strips shoot out from the seafront area, replete with names like Gucci and Louis Vuitton, and there are Condado vacation rentals that ooze opulence and luxury. Culture hungry? The UNESCO forts and amazing museums of the old town area can fill that hole.

Jardín Botánico de la UPR
The National Botanical Garden of Puerto Rico is a big name for a lovely green oasis in the middle of a city. Locally, it is known as “el Jardin Botanico”. The garden is affiliated with the University of Puerto Rico (UPR), and it is open to the public free of charge. When you get to the garden, you need to tell the guard that you want to walk around the garden. He will point you to a parking area on the left. There are large maps posted around the garden.
Balneario El Escambrón
Balneario El Escambron is a little beach, just to the east of Old San Juan. It is a family-friendly beach, with a small crescent of clean sand and usually calm waters, thanks to the coral reef a short distance from the beach.

Isla Verde is the most popular beach vacation destination in the metro area, luring both leisure and business travelers.
