For those looking for an unforgettable adventure, paragliding over Miraflores is a must! This incredible experience lets you soar above Lima’s stunning coastline, offering breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, the city skyline, and the famous cliffs of Costa Verde. You’ll glide along the coast, taking in panoramic views of the ocean, beaches, and vibrant city below. Larco Museum

Larco Museum

169 Navarra, Pueblo Libre, Provincia de Lima 15084, Peru
, +51 1 4611312

If you’re interested in history, art, or just want to experience something truly unique in Lima, Museo Larco is a must-visit! Located in a beautiful 18th-century mansion in the Pueblo Libre district, this museum houses one of the most impressive collections of pre-Columbian artifacts in Peru. The museum showcases thousands of ancient artifacts, including one of the most talked-about sections of the museum; its fascinating (and slightly risqué) collection of ancient Moche erotic ceramics, offering insight into the customs and beliefs of early Peruvian cultures. Whether you’re a history buff or just looking for a unique cultural experience, Museo Larco is one of the best ways to dive into Peru’s rich past while enjoying a gorgeous atmosphere.

Playa Makaha - our favorite surf spot

Playa Makaha - our favorite surf spot

Miraflores, Provincia de Lima, Peru

One of our absolute favorite things to do in Lima is surfing at Playa Makaha in Miraflores! Whether you’re a total beginner or an experienced surfer, this beach is the perfect place to catch some waves. Located right below the Miraflores cliffs, Playa Makaha is known for its consistent and gentle waves, making it one of the best spots in Lima to take a surf lesson. The waves here are smooth and beginner-friendly, but there’s still plenty of fun to be had for more advanced surfers. You’ll find plenty of surf schools right on the beach offering lessons, board rentals, and wetsuits. A 60–90 minute lesson usually costs around $20–$30 USD, including all the gear you need.Every time we visit Lima, we make it a point to surf at Playa Makaha. If you’ve ever wanted to try surfing, this is the perfect place to do it!

Larcomar

610 Malecón de la Reserva, Miraflores, Provincia de Lima 15074, Peru

If you’re looking for the perfect place to shop, eat, and take in breathtaking ocean views, Larcomar is the spot! Built into the cliffs of Miraflores, this open-air shopping center overlooks the Pacific Ocean and offers an amazing mix of high-end boutiques, local Peruvian brands, restaurants, and entertainment.

Parque Kennedy

Av. Oscar R. Benavides, Miraflores, Lima Province 15074, Peru

Parque Kennedy is one of the most lively and charming spots in Miraflores, perfect for a relaxing stroll, people-watching, or grabbing a bite to eat. Located in the center of the district, this vibrant park is surrounded by cafés, restaurants, street vendors, and local artists—making it a great place to experience the energy of Lima. One of the park’s most famous features is its friendly stray cats that have made it their home. Locals and visitors love to hang out with them, and they’re well cared for by volunteers.

Manduco Barranco

2 Pasaje Rìos, Barranco, Provincia de Lima 15063, Peru

If you start to crave Italian......every time we visit Lima, one of our absolute must-visit spots is Manduco, a small, cozy, and authentic Italian restaurant tucked away in Barranco. It’s one of those places that feels like a warm hug, with its charming atmosphere, friendly owners, and incredible homemade pasta that keeps us coming back again and again.

Ica - desert oasis

Ica, Ica, Peru

One of the best trips we’ve ever taken was heading to Ica with Peru Hop! We went with our friends, and it was seriously the easiest and most fun way to travel. The bus picked us up right from our place in Lima, and from there, we just got to sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. We made some awesome stops along the way, like Paracas and a Nazca Lines viewpoint, which made the trip even better. Once we got to Ica, we had the best time racing dune buggies through the desert, sandboarding down the massive dunes (some of us were definitely better at it than others), and sipping Pisco at a local vineyard. And watching the sunset over Huacachina was honestly unreal! We loved how easy and stress-free Peru Hop made everything—it was super comfortable, safe, and just a great experience overall. If you’re planning to visit Ica, this is 100% the way to do it!

For all the days along the way
