What's the easiest way to get to and from Penicuik Estate?

Answer

The best way to get from Edinburgh to Penicuik Estate is by taxi or Uber, which takes ~30 minutes and costs £30 - £40. If you would prefer to drive yourself, parking is free on site. Shuttle service back to Edinburgh on Friday afternoon and after the wedding on Saturday will be provided. The estate concierge is also happy to coordinate private transfers.

What's the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Our dress code is garden party formal. We ask that you wear a tuxedo or suit and tie. Alternatively, a gown or a midi dress would be appropriate. We will be celebrating outside among nature; we encourage you have fun with vibrant colors or patterns! The ceremony will be on grass, so comfortable shoes with a wider heel are recommended. Edinburgh in June can be chilly, bring a layer or two! Fingers crossed there will be sunshine for our ceremony, but in case of rain we will be under the tent for the whole evening.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We are not allowing additional plus-ones to our wedding, as we'd like to keep the guest list just to our nearest and dearest. The name of each guest invited to attend is clearly listed on your invitation and no additional guests can be accommodated.

Even though we love your little ones, this is an adults-only event. Please let us know if you'd like help coordinating childcare for the evening.
