Getting to Nantucket

YOU WILL EITHER NEED TO FLY OR TAKE A FERRY... Traveling by Plane We recommend you book early if you intend to fly since there are fewer flights in and out daily due to the off-season schedule. JetBlue is flying direct from New York and from Boston. Cape Air is the primary airline during the off-season months. They fly 10 seater planes, which take approximately 45 minutes from Boston. The airport is located mid-island, but Taxis and Ubers are available to take you to your hotel. Traveling by Ferry If you are not flying, you are ferrying! There are two different fast ferry (passenger only) options out of Hyannis, MA (Steamship Authority and HyLine Cruises). Please check their respective websites for the most up to date information on schedules. The car ferry takes 2+ hours to travel from Hyannis to Nantucket. Both ferry companies have car lots to park your cars. You may want to research and purchase parking in advance if you want to park nearby the ferry terminals.

Nantucket, MA

We recommend looking into a house rental via Airbnb, VRBO, or one of the local realtors as we have found this to be the most cost effective way to stay on the island. If you do wish to stay at a hotel, there are several options on the island. Our favorites are below: The White Elephant The Summer House The Nantucket Hotel Blue Iris Faraway Hotel Greydon House Life House Pippa Hotel 21 Broad Centerboard The Anchor Inn If you are looking to rent a car to get around the island, there are a few different rental companies that you can book through. We recommend doing this if you plan to stay for more than just the weekend so that you can explore the island. Nantucket Windmill Auto Rental Nantucket Affordable Rentals Nantucket Island Rent a Car
