Ronald Reagan National Airport

Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA) is located in Arlington, VA just across the river from downtown DC. DCA has direct flights from many destinations. It is a short 15-20 minute cab or uber drive into the city, has a dedicated subway station and comes with the likely bonus of a scenic view of some of DC’s most popular monuments as you cross the Potomac River. This is the airport we recommend the most to fly into.

Baltimore Washington Int. Airport

Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) is about 45 minutes outside of DC. Generally, cheaper flights can be found at this airport. However, it is located outside of DC and thus, we recommend looking into trains to get you into the city. Both regional (Amtrak) trains and suburban commuter (MARC) trains connect BWI to Union Station, downtown DC. Travel time into DC by train takes about 35 minutes and you avoid any heavy traffic.

Dulles International Airport

Dulles International Airport (IAD) is about 40 minutes outside of DC. Traffic can add significant amount of time to travel. There are shuttles from the airport that can take you to the nearest metro stop (Wiehle-Resont East). From there, take the silver line in the direction of Largo Town Center directly into downtown DC (about 45 minutes). The closest metro stop to the reception is Federal Triangle.

Train

Union Station

Union Station is DC's major train station with gorgeous architecture. Union Station includes multiple rail options: Metro, Amtrak, MARC trains and the Virginia Railway Express. It is very easy to take a taxi or Uber into the city from the Main Hall entrance.

The Hilton Garden Inn is centrally located in DC. The hotel is within walking distance of the White House, the US Capitol, Smithsonian museums and many more DC attractions. It is located across the street from the McPherson Square Metro Station and is only four miles from Ronald Reagan National Airport.
