A very good (almost rivals our Morningside Heights Absolute Bagels gold standard) bagel. Very close to our apartment in DC, and by far the best in town.

The historic house and gardens where we got married on May 8, 2021. The house museum and gardens are open to visitors on weekends.
The zoo is free and open to visitors. Make sure to reserve your pass a day ahead!
A must for all new visitors. Our favorites are the National Gallery of Art, Natural History Museum, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, and Botanic Gardens. But it's hard to go wrong here!
Our favorite just-off-the-mall spot. A huge collection between the portrait gallery and the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Make sure to stop by the enclosed central courtyard!
Stop by to see the views from the main building's terrace across the river, head inside for a show, or wander around the REACH expansion (and see Margaret's bridge!). The REACH has an outdoor beer garden and is a lovely spot for an afternoon pit stop.
DC's historic year-round market. Stop inside to see the butcher, cheese vendor, or grab a crab cake lunch at Market Lunch, or head outside on the weekend for the farmer's market and flea market. Stop into the used bookstore nearby while you're there!
Tour the outside of the Cathedral for free, including the lovely bishop's garden, or visit the inside with pre-purchased passes. Make sure to take the elevators up to the observation towers for a stunning view of DC!
