If you're looking for a higher end meal come check out Firebirds! There are multiple locations around the valley. Zack and I had our first date at the San Tan Village one. However, growing up my fancy dinners were at the one in Chandler Fashion Square. While steak is their specialty, there are also many other fine meals including their pastas, pork chops and chicken. On our first date, I had the Chicken with Asparagus and Zack had a high-quality burger with tater-tots. At the time, I silently made fun of Zack, but the tater-tots are really good y'all!
This is one of our favorite walk able out-door Arizona malls. There are a ton of fun activities and restaurants here as well as a Harkins movie theater. There is a lot of nice outdoor seating for visiting and enjoying the Arizona spring weather!
This is one of our favorite places to grab dinner. The restaurant is reasonably priced and carries a wide variety of cuisines including Italian, American, Mexican and Thai. We also enjoy that they are open till 10:00 on weekends so you can come in and grab a late meal.
Zipps Sports Grill is one of our favorite places to grab late night appetizers. They have a wide variety of music and delicious food!
If you head out towards Gilbert and find yourself out late at night check out T.C's Pub&Grub. This is a super fun karaoke bar with an outdoor seating area. You can join in with the singing or just listen in while enjoying the cool night air! Zack endorses the garlic parmesan tater-tots appetizer here!
At Tempe Marketplace across from the Dave & Busters you can find Axe Throwing! This was our third date. If you've never done Axe Throwing before, we highly recommend it. It's exciting and while it may feel dangerous at first there are instructors there to walk through proper form and technique.
Topgolf is a fun driving range that's perfect for those who want to practice their golf swing! It's great for beginners as there are fun games and also great food! Perfect for an evening out with a group. This was the site of our fourth date where Zack tried to teach me how to golf as well as several family outings on both sides of our family later on!
If you're wiling to drive out to the other end of the valley, you'll find the beautiful Queen Creek Olive Mill. This restaurant doubles as an activity as they offer tours of the Olive Mill where you can learn how fresh olive oil is made. The food is amazing whether you wait to eat inside or grab something and eat outdoors at the food truck. Be careful though, fresh olives may fall on you from the trees above!
Dave & Busters offers an exciting arcade that is fun for both kids and adults! There is also a bar and dance lessons on the roof of the Tempe Marketplace location during certain times of the year.
Sedona is one of Arizona's most beautiful towns and most popular tourist's locations. It is about an hour and a half away from the Phoenix Metro area. However, if you have time to take a drive and want to observe the beauty of Northern AZ we highly recommend taking a trip! There are beautiful hikes (including Marg's Draw that Zack found in advance for a day trip date!) and lots of delicious food in cafes with cute atmospheres.
