Question

Can I bring a plus one or my kids?

Answer

Due to space constraints with the venue, we ask that you only bring a plus one or kids if your invite specifies you have a plus one or lists you and your family. (Ex: Jon Doe & Jane Doe or Jon Doe & Plus One vs. just Jon Doe or Jon Doe & Family vs. Jon Doe). On the other hand, if you have received an invite for your whole family and would prefer to come and have a night for just adults, that is also completely acceptable. We know that many people are traveling from out of town, so if it is easier, you can just bring the adult members of your party. Thanks for understanding! If you have concerns, please reach out to Margaret or Zack to discuss. We are so excited to celebrate with you!

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Semi-formal attire is encouraged! We'd love to see everyone in their favorite suits and dresses! Please avoid wearing white, purple or yellow as these colors are reserved for the wedding party.

Question

I'm coming in from out of town, where can I stay?

Answer

There are many great hotels and AirBnBs in Mesa and the Phoenix Metro area. That being said we recommend the Courtyard Marriot (1221 South Westwood, Mesa, AZ 85210) or Hampton Inn and Suites (1825 N Higley Rd, Gilbert, AZ 85234) because we will have shuttle service to and from the wedding for these hotels. See the Travel section for more information!

Question

Are there room blocks at the hotels suggested?

Answer

Yes, there are hotel blocks at Courtyard Marriot (1221 South Westwood, Mesa, AZ 85210) and Hampton Inn (1825 N Higley Rd, Gilbert, AZ 85234). These hotels will have discounted rates and offer shuttle services. See the Travel Page and "What is the Shuttle Schedule?" for more details.

Question

Can we park at the venue?

Answer

Yes, you can park at the venue, but you cannot leave your car there overnight. As there is an Open Bar, we urge guests who want to drink to consider staying at one of the hotels where shuttles are provided to and from the venue or use a ride share service (See: What is the Shuttle Schedule?).

Question

Will the ceremony be outside?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony is currently planned to take place outside. The grass at the venue is artificial turf so it should not impact your shoes. We will all then move to a covered patio for cocktail hour after the ceremony and indoors for the reception.

Question

Should I bring a physical gift?

Answer

There is no pressure to bring a gift. We are just excited to have you join us! We know that many of our guests are coming in from out of town. Because of this and the fact that we are planning to move abroad within a little over a year from our wedding, we kept our registry brief. However, if you're still wanting to celebrate with us in this way, we have included a Honeymoon Fund on our Registry tab. Alternatively, you can bring a physical card if you prefer for the gift table.

Question

Will there be a way to watch the wedding online?

Answer

The ceremony and parts of the reception will be live-streamed via Facebook. You can find the live stream here: XXXXX

Question

Are there any other wedding events throughout the weekend that we should be aware of?

Answer

There will be a rehearsal dinner on Saturday for the wedding party. Those who are involved in the rehearsal dinner will be contacted separately with details. Since the wedding is on a Sunday, there are no additional events planned. We encourage you to explore the Things to Do page if you're coming in before the wedding or staying a few days after to find local activities!
