Question

Should I rebook my reservation to the new weekend?

Answer

If you have already booked a room at Evergreen Lodge, your reservation will be automatically carried over to the new October weekend and you will receive a confirmation from the resort. Room rates are thankfully a little lower in October and your updated reservation will reflect that. If you have already booked a room at Rush Creek Lodge, your reservation will also be carried over. However, we now have more rooms in our block, so if you’re interested, you should call to switch your reservation over to Evergreen Lodge. If you are no longer able to attend the event, please reach out to Evergreen to cancel your reservation.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

October in Yosemite is temperate. Average October temperatures during the peak of the day are around 75 degrees, but it can get chilly at night. We'll make sure that we're able to keep our guests warm outside, but recommend bringing a jacket. If you plan to do any hiking while you're here, we recommend bringing a water bottle and sunscreen.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The resort is casual. Attire for the wedding is "Forest Formal" (i.e. we're getting married at a resort in the trees, so use your best judgement). For gals, feel free to wear a sundress or cocktail dress. We recommend block heels or flats as the majority of the ceremony and reception will be on grass (plus they're way easier to dance in). As the wedding will now be in October, you will likely want to bring a jacket or shawl.

Question

How late will the party go?

Answer

We'll be dancing outdoors until 10pm, at which time we will move into the air-conditioned Tavern for dancing and merriment until the wee hours. The game room and recreation room are open 24 hours.

Question

Are people coming in before the wedding weekend?

Answer

Several of our guests have expressed interest in arriving before Friday. Do it! There's tons to do in Yosemite.

Question

Are kids invited to the wedding?

Answer

With a pool, games, and a jungle gym, Evergreen Lodge is a great place for kiddos. While our wedding ceremony and reception will be adults only, you're welcome to bring your kids to Evergreen for the weekend. We just request that you also bring your own babysitter for the night of our wedding as the resort does not offer any childcare options.
