If you have questions that are not answered here, please reach out to Mark or Mareike. (You know where to find us).
Question

Where should we stay?Where should we stay?

Answer

Santa Barbara and the surrounding areas provide ample opportunities for lodging. We recommend checking out local hotels or AirBnBs for low rates soon. We have secured a 50-person campsite near the wedding venue for those who would like to keep cost low and don’t mind the outdoors :) You can find the sign-up sheet under the "Links/Things to Do" tab on top of the website. Please note that camp spots are first come first serve.

Question

How do we get to the Venue? How do we get to the Venue?

Answer

Our venue sits along a county road that you are welcome to park on. That being said, space is very limited so we would encourage anyone who can to carpool to and from the venue. Ubers in the area will be scarce so we do not recommend relying on these. We will have a small emergency shuttle back to SB for those who drink too much (but don't be stupid :)) and won't be able to drive themselves back.

Question

What is the dress attire? What is the dress attire?

Answer

Our wedding takes place in a whimsical, historic location. Nothing too fancy, but a nice shirt or dress is appreciated. No baseball caps or sandals please. Per Mark's request, beards must be trimmed to three feet or less.

Question

Is this event child-friendly?Is this event child-friendly?

Answer

Yes, we would love your little ones to attend! We are, however, not providing child-specific food options at the wedding. Please plan ahead accordingly. The venue is on a quiet mountain street so kids can be left wandering the premises semi-unattended. Beware of the creek next to the venue, though flows will be relatively low.

Question

What’s the weather going to be like? What’s the weather going to be like?

Answer

Santa Barbara summers can be very hot! Anticipate high temperatures during the day, especially at the event location. Mornings and nights can get breezy, so we recommend bringing a light jacket.
