Shadmoor State Park
Encompassing 99 acres, it features roughly 2,400 feet of golden shoreline and awe-inspiring oceanfront views. The park offers trails with ariel views overlooking the Atlantic Ocean from the bluffs and cliffs, and you can continue on to Ditch Plains, the popular surf spot from here as well.

Camp Hero State Park
Camp Hero State Park, which opened in 2022, is a 754-acre state park located on Montauk Point, New York. It's a premier destination for picturesque hiking trails, with a stunning landscape featuring dramatic cliffs, lush greenery, and endless ocean views.
Montauk Point Lighthouse
The most recognizable landmark and famous thing to do in Montauk is visit the Montauk Point Lighthouse, aka The End of the World, the easternmost point of Long Island, and the Hamptons. This is New York’s oldest lighthouse and the 4th oldest active light station in the United States reaching 19 nautical miles with light flashes every 5 seconds. Montauk Point Lighthouse towers at just over 110 feet on Turtle Hill and is a designated National Historic Landmark for its role in international shipping from the late 1780s to 1810s.

Located 35 minutes from Montauk, plan to spend an afternoon enjoying live music, charcuterie boards, and highly popular summer rosé. Tasting and tour options need to be reserved in advance.

Shopping in Downtown Montauk
Montauk’s shops offer a great mix of upscale boutique items, relaxed beachwear, surf gear, and vintage finds. Mixed in with the shops are restaurants, cafes, ice cream shops, and bakeries. Most businesses are within walking distance and center around the plaza. Christina's favorite shop is Homeport and Mike's favorite is Air & Speed.
Montauk Music Festival
The Montauk Music Festival began in 2006 as a small, one-day event featuring local bands. The event has since grown into an all weekend festival (Friday-Sunday).
