Please feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions, not listed here.
Question

What's the best way to RSVP?

Answer

The best way to RSVP is by using the "RSVP" tab on this website if you haven't already, to confirm your attendance at the reception for our IN-PERSON guests. Please RSVP by the DEADLINE of September 1, 2023, so we can have an accurate headcount for catering. Only guests who RSVP will be admitted to the wedding reception. If we do not hear from you by then, we understand that you are unable to celebrate with us on that day, and look forward to celebrating with you at a later time!

Question

What if I have a change in my RSVP?

Answer

We know that unforeseen events can come up and while we definitely understand, we are sad to hear if you can no longer join us! Please update your RSVP to "No" as soon as possible to reflect the change. We look forward to celebrating with you at a later time!

Question

Will there be a virtual wedding celebration?

Answer

Absolutely! We plan on streaming the wedding ceremony via Zoom so our family and friends worldwide can join in celebrating with us. The Zoom details will be made available on "The Big Day!" tab. Alternatively, please use the Zoom details below to connect: Meeting ID: 970 667 4845 Passcode: 102023 https://us02web.zoom.us/j/9706674845?pwd=THJZT3lxTENUeXdEaHZ2cGo4Ymx2dz09 USA: 2:30 PM CST | 3:30 PM EST | NIGERIA 8:30 PM The zoom room will be open 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony.

Question

Can anyone come to the wedding?

Answer

As much as we would love to have everyone join us on our special day, the RECEPTION is by INVITE ONLY. Please refer to your invite, for whom from your family can attend. All are welcome to join the ceremony via Zoom!

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

Please use the ceremony start time on your invitation for reference. The wedding ceremony will begin at 2:30 PM CST PROMPTLY. No one outside of the Bridal Party will be able to enter the auditorium after 2:55 PM. We recommend guests arrive 15 to 30 minutes before the official start time, so as to avoid problems with parking and finding a seat before the proceedings. Doors will close 5 minutes PRIOR to the ceremony start time and will NOT open again until the entire bridal party filters out. Be sure to get there EARLY, we don't want you to miss anything!

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Please refer to your invitation if you were alotted a plus one. We have a strict guest list to stay on budget and within the guidelines the venue has set. We will only be able to accommodate individuals listed on your invitation. If your invite does NOT include a plus one, please do NOT bring one. There will be someone at the door verifying names on the guest list. We appreciate your support in keeping our wedding as organized as possible!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we would love to have all of your little ones in attendance, due to space constraints and venue safety restrictions, we have decided to make our wedding an ADULT-ONLY event with the exception of our immediate family. We want all parents to be able to relax and enjoy the night off! Thank you for understanding!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Family and close friends, please wear the asoebi attire. For other guests, please dress to impress. This is a formal event (so no jeans please!) Men in suits with a tie or bowtie, and ladies in gowns or formal cocktail dresses. Think dressy, that could even be in your best native traditional attire.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour or so. Guests can continue to mingle at the Kingdom Hall and head to the reception venue no earlier than 4:30 PM CST. The reception will start promptly at 5:00 PM.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Pictures are more than welcome! We would love to see our special day captured from your lens, but please be respectful of our photography and videography crew who are there specifically to capture our special day. Please use our wedding hashtag #FromSingletoSingleton if posting on social media.

Question

Is there a wedding hashtag?

Answer

Yes, please tag your pictures with #FromSingletoSingleton

Question

Will the ceremony and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both events will be indoors, to ensure we are covered from the unpredictable Houston weather.

Question

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

A hotel block has been made available. Please see the "TRAVEL" tab. If you do not wish to stay in a hotel, finding an Airbnb in the surrounding area is recommended.

Question

Are you signed up with a wedding registry service?

Answer

If you would like to give a gift, a monetary contribution towards our honeymoon would be graciously appreciated. Please see the REGISTRY tab for more, including a link to our Amazon registry. Thank you for your generous spirit!

Question

Should I bring my card with me, or send it in advance?

Answer

Your presence is present enough, but should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table where you can safely deposit your card or gift.
