We're Getting Married!

After many failed attempts at dating, Marcus and Sally never gave up. Marcus and Sally both had profiles on a dating app called Hinge. For weeks, Sally's Hinge app stated that there were no possible matches at the time and to come back later. Sally had either been on awful dates or swiped away enough men to literally have no one left in the dating pool. One evening, Sally decided to look at her dating profile settings. She had her age limit for possible matches set to the maximum of 30 years old. But, Sally herself was 28. She decided to increase the age limit to 35 and immediately, Marcus' profile appeared (he was 34 at the time). Sally admits, it was love at first sight... to Marcus' adorably large and handsome dog, Tiny, who was featured in a few of Marcus' photos. But, she also found Marcus to be quite the catch himself. She swiped right, and it was a match! Marcus reached out shortly after, and the rest is history. Marcus and Sally's love story officially began on January 17, 2023, but their paths in life came extremely close to crossing on many occasions. Sally and Marcus grew up in a similar area of Roanoke. Sally went to the same daycare as Marcus' little sister. Marcus' high school jobs were at stores and restaurants Sally and her family visited often. And most shockingly, Sally and Marcus lived in the same apartment complex in 2019, only about 100 feet away from one another. It is quite possible that at some point in their lives, they did cross paths. But, they were destined to meet at just the right time. When both Sally and Marcus had experienced hardships, had grown as individuals, and, most importantly, were single and open to love. While Sally and Marcus have experienced personal struggles during their time together, they have always stood by each other's sides. Their love for one another is unwavering. They make each other laugh daily and can find joy and silliness in the smallest of moments. They can talk through challenges and find common ground as they navigate their relationship and lives together. They have found homes in each other's hearts where they feel safe, loved, protected, heard, valued, and cherished. Sally and Marcus are two people who are perfectly imperfect together and truly destined to be.
