If you are flying into Denver and have some extra time to kill, we recommend doing these things: Lunch/Dinner @ Briar Common Brewery Casa Bonita! (yes, from that one show) (book reservations in advance) Meow Wolf art experience Rock climbing at one of many gyms in the area. The Spot and Movement have several locations. Red Rocks in Morrison, just West of Denver is a MUST visit if you haven't been already.
You will pass through the town of Winter Park about 30 minutes prior to reaching Granby. Winter Park is one of our favorite places to snowboard in the winter. Although there is no snow, they offer year round fun. The mountain itself has an alpine slide, minigolf course, and a scenic gondola ride. The town of Winter park offers plenty of restaurants, pubs, breweries, and many hiking and biking trails to experience. If you're lucky, possibly catch an event at the Rendezvous Event Center. The small but inviting town of Fraser is on the way to Granby from Winter Park. This town offers some small restaurants, breweries, and even more trails to hike!
Granby is another small, cute mountain town that offers many family owned restaurants and boutiques. Granby also offers a few different golf courses near by. Although we haven't played any of them, the surrounding mountains and landscape make for a beautiful round! There are plenty of close spots for some of Colorado's best fishing. Find a local shop that offers guides and gear to rent.
