Should I come Thursday night (6/24/21), even if I'm not in the wedding party?

Answer

If your schedule allows it, absolutely. We will be holding a rehearsal dinner on Thursday night, followed by a "welcome party" at the Taconic Hotel, which all guests are invited, but not required, to attend.

Question

On Friday, what time do I really have to be at the Hildene?

Answer

5:00 PM EST (buses will pick up wedding guests at the Taconic Hotel and the Hampton Inn at 4:44 PM EST on Friday, June 25th. Guests may also drive themselves to the wedding venue (The Hildene), and may take our chartered bus back to the Taconic Hotel or Hampton Inn at the end of the wedding reception. You may pick your vehicle up in the morning.

Is there going to be a "roast" portion of the wedding reception?

Answer

Unfortunately, no.

Will any animals be harmed in the making of this production?

Answer

No, because there will be no "roast" portion of the wedding reception.

Will there be transportation from hotels to the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes. Buses will be picking up wedding guests at the Taconic Hotel and the Hampton Inn at 4:45 PM on Friday, June 25th and will continue to make trips until guests have all arrived at the wedding venue. You may also drive directly to the venue (the Hildene), leave your car there overnight, and take the chartered buses home at the end of the wedding reception. Transportation will be provided at the conclusion of the reception, and will drop guests off at both the Taconic Hotel and the Hampton Inn.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

There is no dress code. We want you to feel beautiful and look beautiful. That said, it is going to be late June, and the ceremony and reception are outside. If you were invited to the rehearsal dinner (6/24), guests should dress “business casual/cocktail/garden party” Think sport coat with no tie or cocktail/sundress. For the wedding and reception (6/25), guests should wear formal attire, but black tie is not necessary (unless that’s your jam).
