Flight
For those flying in from the US, both Delta and United should have direct flights from JFK/Newark to Naples and Rome. If you fly into Rome, please note it is a 1hr train to Naples.
Travel Note
Highly recommend you build in more time than you think you need to travel to Sorrento. Timeliness of public transit in southern Italy is not guaranteed. If taking private transfer, the road to Sorrento is one lane each way and with traffic can be longer than what Google Maps tells you. You have three main options: ā“ļø Ferry (easiest) ā From Naples Molo Beverello port, take a hydrofoil ferry to Sorrento (~$20ā$25, ~40 min.) š Train ā From Napoli Centrale station, take either: Circumvesuviana local train (~$6, ~70 min, runs every 30 min). Campania Express train (~$15, ~50 min, fewer stops, AC, better for luggage). š Private Transfer ā Door-to-door pickup from Naples Airport or train station to Sorrento. (~$130ā$160 per car). Reliable companies include: Sorrento Limo Sorrento Shuttle
