Although we once tried to fabricate an epic tale of how we first met, let's be real... we met online. On Instagram to be exact. Who'd think that the popular photo-sharing social media app would bring us together? It happened one night in September 2019. Jillian was just starting her final semester of college at SUNY Oneonta, and Tom, already graduated, was having a fun night hanging with some of his buddies in Brooklyn. Perhaps there was something in the air that night, or perhaps it was the champagne Tom and his friends were drinking, but Tom decided to direct message Jillian on Instagram. Surrounded by his friends, Tom typed out the perfect message to really hook her in, "Hyyyped it's the one where it's the lake house right??" He had replied to a Instagram story Jillian has posted about the newest season of American Horror Story. Unfortunately for Tom, this message went directly into Jillian's requests because she hadn't actually accepted his friend request yet. When the message popped up on Jillian's screen, she quickly sent a screenshot of it to everyone she knew asking if this guy who randomly messaged her on Instagram was weird or not. Tom's luck turned when a few friends who had known of him told Jillian that he was, in fact, not weird and actually a really nice guy. Finally, Jillian replied to Tom's message and the pair continued chatting. After some weeks, Tom finally came to visit Jillian at SUNY Oneonta. It was love at first sight as the two battled their way to victory in a Beer Olympics tournament, held by Jillian's college friends. The night ended with nods of approval coming from Jillian's friends, and a sparkle in both Tom and Jillians' eyes. The two have been together ever since!
