Spencer Timmons

Maid of Honor

Spencer and Sam have been best friends for 13+ years, after they met in freshman year Art class. After they graduated high school, they attended SDSU together. Though they didn't room together freshman year in hopes of meeting new friends, they soon realized that they were only spending time with each other anyway, and decided to become roommates. Spencer quickly took over the job of caring for Sam while living on her own, and the two of them had so much fun living together. Though Sam and Spencer have lived in different cities the last few years, their friendship has never wavered. Spencer is a loving, thoughtful, and selfless friend, and has the biggest heart. Ryan and Spencer instantly bonded, and now that she is back in San Diego, the 3 of them spend many Friday nights adventuring, followed by Saturday mornings on the couch. Sam is so lucky to have Spencer as her maid of honor, and best friend.

Kelsey Brannon

Bridesmaid

Kelsey and Sam became friends freshman year at SDSU, where they met on the first day of their Elementary Math class. They quickly realized they had a lot in common, including a love for Olive Oil Cafe paninis, and the habit of procrastinating on their Liberal Studies assignments. Kelsey and Sam lived together the last two years of college, where they made many memories dancing around the house in their pajamas, and watching endless hours of Say Yes to the Dress with Spencer. Kelsey is a warm friend; someone who you can go to with anything, and she will be there for you. She is loyal and kind, and if you're lucky enough to convince her to have a few margaritas, you may just see her on the dance floor. Sam is so thankful for Kelsey's friendship, and can't wait for all of the fun to come for the two of them this year!

Shelby Weaver

Bridesmaid

Shelby and Sam became friends when both tried out for the Freshman cheer team at Torrey Pines. After both making the team, they were lucky enough to be paired together for cheer dances, but for some reason... were always placed in the back row. Sam has always looked up to Shelby's cool style and easygoing personality, and even went as far as getting her belly button pierced because Shelby got hers done. Shelby has been a consistently kind-hearted and loving friend, who is always down to have a good time. They've made so many memories over the years, and Sam feels so grateful to have such a wonderful friend in her life.

Andrea Converse

Bridesmaid

Andrea and Sam met at Bj's in La Mesa, where they both worked while attending SDSU. Throughout the years, Sam and Andrea continued to grow closer outside of work, and have created many special memories together. Andrea is a loyal, kind-hearted, and thoughtful friend. She is a friend you can always count on, and her infectious laughter can light up any room. Whether it’s sharing conversations over brunch or embarking on spontaneous adventures in PB, Andrea brings warmth and joy to every moment. Sam is incredibly grateful for the bond they share, and can’t wait to celebrate this special day with her!

Taylor Austin

Bridesmaid

Taylor and Sam met while working at Bj's in La Mesa, and quickly became friends. They spent many hours together dealing with customer complaints at the takeout stand, and sneaking french fries up to eat mid-shift. Sam and Taylor's friendship grew even stronger when they started dating Ryan and David, around the time that the boys moved into their Ocean Beach house. The 4 of them spent many hours in 2020 playing beer die in the backyard, having sunset wine nights on the roof, and competing in countless rounds of Quiplash. Sam feels so lucky to have a friend like Taylor. Her witty comebacks and playful spirit light up any room, and Sam cherishes all of the memories they have made together these last few years!

Danielle Marchand

Bridesmaid

Danielle and Sam first met each other in 2020, shortly after Sam and Ryan started dating. Danielle and Sam realized immediately they had a lot in common, including a love for Taylor Swift, reading, and baking. Sam is so lucky to have Danielle as a sister-in- law. She has always been so supportive of Sam and Ryan's relationship, and has always been so welcoming to Sam. She is kind, thoughtful, and pays attention to the little things that matter, always making you feel special. Ryan has always looked up to Danielle and admires her determination, independence, and her commitment to her friends and family. As the oldest of the Marchand siblings, Danielle has always been there for Ryan, and he feels so lucky to have such an amazing big sister!

Allison Carpowich

Bridesmaid

Allison & Sam met when she was 15, when her older brother Brian started dating Allison and brought her to San Diego to meet the Carpowich family. She was instantly the sister Sam always wanted, and often took her side during her teenage years (which not many people did!). She always let Sam tag along on dates with Brian, and has always there when Sam needs advice. They share the same interests in celebrity gossip, and have never turned down a sweet treat. Allison made Sam's childhood dreams come true when she made her a bridesmaid in her wedding. Sam looks up to Allison for her big heart, as well as how wonderful she is as a mom, and is so honored to be the godmother of her two precious babies. Sam is so thankful to have Allison be apart of her special day!

Aaron Small

Bridesman

Aaron has been one of Sam's closest family friends forever. They grew up together in Carmel Valley, and spent weekends at the football field, where Sam cheered for Aaron's Pop Warner team. Sam and Aaron lived down the street from each other, and were inseparable as they went through elementary, middle, and high school together. They spent many days in their childhood frolicking on Windansea Beach with their older brothers, and setting up an annual New Year's Eve spa to anybody in their family willing to participate. Though Aaron and Sam don't live in the same state, they have a friendship that can pickup exactly where they left off. Sam is so thankful for Aaron, as he is the perfect mix of fun, easygoing, and hilarious. She couldn't imagine her wedding day with Aaron!

Brent Marchand

Best Man

Brent and Ryan have been best friends since January 17th, 1998, when Brent was born. Though they would often fight as kids, they shared an eventful childhood, filled with airsoft wars, 1v1 knee football in the living room, Madden, and Marco Polo. As they got older, their relationship grew even stronger, and now includes Padres games, concerts, bar crawls, DIY projects, and Fantasy Football. Brent is not only a thoughtful and caring brother, but also an adventurous, down-for-anything friend, with a contagious laugh. Ryan cherishes their relationship, and is glad to no longer have too many disagreements that need to be settled by putting on their football pads in the backyard.

David Donahue

Groomsman

David and Ryan met freshman year of high school. Their Boston/New York sports fandoms sparked a great friendship, and 10 years (and counting!) of trash talk. Ryan and David's personalities complement each other perfectly. Where Ryan is reserved, David has the charisma and confidence to talk to anybody! David is so personable. Legend has it, he might be able to swing you beers at a Padres game, well after the 7th inning last call…. Even if it costs him $50. Sam & David became best friends during their time working at BJ's. It was only a matter of time before David introduced Ryan & Sam, and the rest is history.

Aidan Perrine

Groomsman

Aidan is one of Ryan's oldest friends. Since their time at Fletcher Hills Elementary, Ryan & Aidan have bonded over their love for playing sports, especially when it means beating their younger brothers in street football, chicken fights, and even beer dye. Ryan appreciates Aidan's friendship, and "go with the flow" personality. He loves all of the memories they've shared, especially the ones created at their annual family beach camping trip. In the smallest of worlds, Aidan and Sam were coworkers at Bj's in La Mesa where they worked at the host stand before she met Ryan! Fun fact: Immaculate mustache.

Nick Arleo

Groomsman

Nick and Ryan met freshman year of college, as lacrosse teammates at Aurora University. They immediately bonded over their love for New York sports. They love sports so much, that in their free time at Aurora, they would run routes on the football field. Although Ryan would typically play quarterback (with his self-proclaimed "better arm"), Nick got the last laugh, as he is now a D1 college football coach. Though they are often thousands of miles apart, Nick and Ryan's friendship always picks up where it left off. Nick is a one-of-a-kind friend, who would do anything for those close to him, and Ryan is so honored to him as one of his groomsman.

Matt Oropallo

Groomsman

Matt and Ryan met at the first day of high school Freshman football practice, where they instantly became friends. They share an array of interests, ranging from EDM music, to conversing over an iced coffee, to doing less than they should while at the gym. Don't be misled by Matt's calm demeanor. When you get to know him, he is a fiercely loyal friend, and the life of the party.

Kyle Kennedy

Groomsman

Kyle and Ryan have been friends since Fletcher Hills Elementary, and Kyle was a distinguished guest at Ryan's dinosaur-themed 6th birthday party. The ever-dichotomous Kyle can have you dying of laughter for saying something so ridiculous, and in the next moment, engaged in a thought-provoking conversation. Kyle is a very caring and thoughtful friend, and is always down to hit KBBQ or play a round of frisbee golf.

Brian Carpowich

Groomsman

Brian and Ryan first met in person in 2021, where they kicked off their friendship with tequila shots with Sam's Papa. Brian and Ryan not only share a similar name (which does get confusing at times), but also a love for dive bars, beer, and football. Ryan admires Brian for being an awesome brother, and looks up to him as a great husband and father. Though Sam is Brian's little sister by 3 years, he's always made her feel like a friend, and always let her tag along in his adventures, even when she would eventually tattle on him. She is so lucky to have Brian as her brother, and loves to spend her weekends and breaks with him and his adorable family in Florida!

Matt Carpowich

Groomsman

Matt and Ryan became friends in 2019, when Sam brought Ryan home to meet her family for the first time. Matt instantly welcomed him. Their friendship grew in 2020, when Ryan was part of the Carpowich house inner circle during the pandemic. Ryan appreciates Matt's sense of humor, and ability to crack the perfectly-timed dry joke. Ryan looks up to Matt's fashion sense, world views, and spontaneity. Though Matt is Sam's older brother by 4 years, he's always made her feel like her opinion and ideas are valued. She has always looked up to his ability to be effortlessly cool and fun, and is so lucky to have him as her brother!

George Carpowich

Ring Bearer

Our ring bearer, George, brings many talents to his role on the big day. Fun fact: George loves saying “Go Steelers”, and has a high shooting percentage on a kids size basketball hoop. When you can’t find him on the basketball court, you may find him reading books in bed, or watching Baboo. He is as silly as he is sweet, and loves to make jokes. His wedding responsibilities include bringing the rings down the aisle, making his Titi & Uncle Ryan laugh, and holding his baby sister Vivian’s hand.

Vivian Carpowich

Flower Girl

The littlest member of our bridal party, Vivian, is a very special baby girl. Fun fact: Vivian had her role of flower girl lined up before she was even born! In true Florida girl fashion, she loves to be outside when the weather is nice. She is very kind and sweet to her family, and absolutely loves being cozy. Her responsibilities include trotting down the aisle with her big brother George in tow, providing her chill vibes, and welcoming everyone she meets with her happy smiles!

Olivia Brasel

Flower Girl

Olivia is one of the youngest members of the bridal party, but don’t let her size fool you—she’s got enough energy to out-dance everyone at the wedding! A self-proclaimed “unicorn expert” and “princess in training,” Olivia can usually be found twirling in her tutu or sneaking extra cake when no one’s looking. Her responsibilities include keeping the bride smiling, scattering flower petals with flair and no tears, and reminding everyone that nap time is non-negotiable. With a love for sparkles, snacks, and making silly faces, Olivia promises to bring extra fun and a whole lot of giggles to the big day!

Charlotte Brasel

Flower Girl

Char Char might be one of the smallest in the bridal party, but her sweetness is matched only by her ability to charm the socks off anyone she meets! Whether she’s toddling around with a big grin or clutching her favorite baby doll, Char Char is the queen of adorable giggles and spontaneous dance moves. Her big day duties? Offering cuddles on demand, smiling at every camera, and making sure everyone knows she’s the real star of the show. Prepare for endless "awwws" when Char Char takes the stage!

Joseph Perez

Officiant

Joseph Perez, best known as Papa, will be serving as officiant on Sam and Ryan's big day! As Sam's grandfather, he has been a loving support for her throughout her entire life. When she met Ryan, Papa (and Nana) instantly became a big part of his life too. While they may disagree over who the best team in the NL West is, Papa is someone who Sam and Ryan both look up to, and love to converse with. Papa is a natural storyteller, and is sure to squeeze in a well-timed joke or witty response. Sam and Ryan are so honored that Papa will be leading their big day, and can't wait for all of their friends and family to get to know such a wonderful man!
