Welcome Hike
Welcome Hike at Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve:
Hello everyone! We are so excited to invite you all to join us on a hike on Wednesday, July 29th! The reserve features miles of hiking trails, ocean views and beaches, and tons of wildlife viewing opportunities. We plan to hike the Razor Point trail. It is about a 2/3 mile hike each way. The trail meanders through coastal sage scrub with dramatic views of sculptured sandstone gorge and gnarled trees. The Yucca Point Overlook at the end of the trail features yucca flower displays in the spring and examples of sandstone erosion and patterned sculptures called tafoni.
Plan:
We will meet in the lobby at L'auberge Del Mar at about 11:45 am and head out at Noon! We can take a few cars and carpool, depending on how many people want to join.
We hope to see everyone there to enjoy this beautiful hike and to spend some time together!
