We met in undergrad at Cleveland State in our pre-med classes and events. We knew of each other for a little while before we started messaging through snapchat and texting. After a few weeks of getting to know each other, Marc finally asked me on a date! We went to Barrio in downtown Cleveland for margs and tacos, and then to the Chocolate Bar after for dessert, where we realized we were both obsessed with chocolate. We stayed up very late at Marc's apartment watching Family Guy and talking all night before I left. Marc walked me out to my car and gave me a kiss good night like the gentleman he is. Since that night, we have been pretty much inseparable!

We went on a two-week trip traveling through Italy in the summer of 2019. On our third stop in Cinque Terre, we stayed in this magnificent apartment on the top of a hill that had a balcony overlooking Cinque Terre and the ocean. One night, Marc got us a bottle of wine and chocolate biscotti and we were sitting on the balcony talking. He kept telling me how much he loved me, and I was kind of suspecting it was about to happen. I was right! He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him in the most beautiful place we have been. It was so romantic and perfect. Cinque Terre will always be special to us, and we plan to go back a few more times for our anniversaries!
