One of the best ways to soak in Rhode Island’s charm. A coastal path where the Atlantic sparkles on one side and historic mansions rise on the other. Bring comfy shoes and a camera.
If the weather’s nice (like we hope for on Saturday), head south for classic New England beach vibes. Narragansett is easy and lively, while nearby beaches like Matunuck or Misquamicut are more laid-back. A classic is Mews Tavern. For oysters, TwoTen or Matunuck Oyster Bar. Another classic is Ocean Mist or The Pub. There’s lots of great places in South County area!
Hop on the ferry for a perfect day trip from South County area. Rent bikes or a moped, grab a lobster roll, and circle the island’s lighthouses and bluffs. Feels like stepping back in time.
Wander through Benefit Street for colonial houses, cafes, and little shops. Stop at Seven Stars Bakery for coffee or grab dinner on Wickenden Street.
Our version of “Little Italy.” Whether you want pizza, pasta, or just a cannoli, it’s a great evening out with plenty of cozy spots.
Down on the southwest coast, Westerly is a gem. Explore Watch Hill’s beaches and shops, grab ice cream by the harbor, or watch the sunset at Ocean House. It feels quintessentially New England.
Just an hour north, Boston is packed with history, neighborhoods to wander, and some excellent food. The North End is great for Italian if you haven’t had enough. It’s also where Marcela went to college and met some of her best friends!
Quintessential New England summer charm. Drive out for beach towns, ice cream stands, and maybe hop a ferry to Martha’s Vineyard.
A couple hours away and foodie heaven. Think lobster rolls, breweries, lighthouses, and a walkable old port full of character. Mark and Marcela’s favorite date area.
If you’d rather hike than city hop, this region is gorgeous. Mountains, waterfalls, and fresh air in every direction.
A cute little coastal town about an hour from Providence. Great for seafood on the water, browsing shops, and checking out the historic seaport.
