FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

By March 1, 2026

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The garden is open to the public until 4:00 so you would be able to begin to arrive starting around 4:30. Ceremony begins promptly at 5:15.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We’re celebrating in a gorgeous greenhouse filled with lush plants, flowers, and light. Please join us in wearing Garden Cocktail attire. Think springtime garden party meets timeless elegance. Avoid anything too formal or too casual (yes to linen suits, no to jeans). Feel free to play with florals, soft pastels (except sage green), or earth tones to complement the setting!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, kids are welcome! We’re so happy to celebrate with your whole family. Little ones are welcome to join in the fun. Just a gentle reminder to keep a watchful eye, especially in the greenhouses where curious hands and rare plants don’t mix well. Weather permitting, we’ll also have access to the outdoor green space where lawn games will be set up for kids (and fun-loving adults). If Mother Nature decides to cry that day, we’ll keep the party cozy inside the garden instead. Thanks for helping us keep things joyful, safe, and beautiful for everyone.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please make your allergies known through the RVSP so we can plan accordingly with ample time.Marcela understands food allergies/sensitivities herself and wants to make sure you can enjoy the food too!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Your invitation is addressed to the specific guests we’ve reserved seats for. If you have any questions, reach out to us directly.

Question

Do I need a car? Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There will be transportation via Uber. Once you RSVP, you will be provided an Uber code that you will be able to use to and from your hotel and venue. Providence is walkable, if you stay there, and Ubers are easy, but if you want to explore beaches, Newport, or Block Island, a rental car is helpful.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is a small amount of free parking that will be available on site.

Question

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors? What is the weather like?

Answer

Our ceremony will take place in the Botanical Garden’s greenhouse-style glasshouse. Weather in May can be mild but unpredictable, so bring a light layer just in case. May in Rhode Island usually brings highs in the 60s–70s during the day and cooler evenings. A jacket or wrap is a good idea if you’re staying out late.
