To our friends and family: We're so excited to celebrate our intimate wedding with you! Find all the details you need to know about our big day here.
We were setup by mutual friends and our first date you might wonder? A blind date to senior prom of course :)
This year we celebrated our 10 year anniversary together as a couple. To mark the occasion, we decided to load up the car and take our dog Asuka camping! We had learned about a local favorite campsite in Flagstaff called Edge of the World and decided to check it out. The drive itself was a little unexpected as it took 2 hours down a dirt road filled with jagged rocks, tall pines and steep ravines to reach the site. The entire campsite was positioned on a cliffside with the most amazing panoramic views of Sedona below us. We hiked around, packed a dinner and hung out under the stars with a plan of waking up to watch the sunrise over the red rocks. The night itself was a little rough as car camping with a bed hogging dog resulted in little sleep, a grumpy morning Cassi, and an unruly Asuka. Our sunrise plan didn’t start as expected as another car decided to pull into our site to also catch a glimpse of the morning rays. Annoyed by the campsite intruders, Cassi and Asuka busted out of the car to make their presence known (the actual words being somewhere along the lines of, “I didn’t spend all night sleeping in a car with a dog to lose our spot”). Seeing red, Cassi didn’t think things through and by charging out of the car door actually triggered the car alarm to go off, blaring through the sleepy campground at 5am. It ONLY took a few minutes to find the keys to stop the alarm. The entire situation was awkward and cringe worthy as Marc recalls, but luckily the awkwardness of Cassi dragging their camp chairs to the edge of the cliffside was enough to drive the campsite invaders out of our site. We set up our phones for a photo and posed overlooking Sedona. During the 10 second timer Marc popped the question but little did we know that wasn’t the only “surpise pop” of the morning. We realized while packing up that we had somehow picked up a flat tire along the way. The 4 hour drive home on a donut tire going 15 mph was no match for how excited we were! :)
