The ceremony will start at 12:30 in the afternoon Saturday, October 17th, 2020.
Yes, the cocktail hour will begin right after the ceremony ends and while pictures are being taken of the couple and the wedding party. It will begin around 1:00 pm. It will be located just up the hill, on the outside patio of Spence Cabin where the ceremony will be held.
The ceremony will he held at Spence Cabin, the address is located on everyone’s wedding invitation. Spence Cabin is an identifiable pink cabin and there will be a walk way that leads down to a river. The ceremony will he held just on the river where seating is provided.
Reception was originally going to be in a separate building, but due to COVID, the building is closed. So, the reception will be held on the outside patio of Spence Cabin. The entirety of the wedding will be held at the same location.
Yes! Please note the time of the wedding has now changed from 2 pm- 8 pm to 12:30 pm- 6:30 pm! The original building for the reception unfortunately closed due to COVID, so the reception will now be held at the SAME location as the wedding ceremony. The time had to change because of poor electrical lighting and to preserve daylight. We want to make sure we aren’t celebrating in the dark since the reception will now be held outside and guests can drive safely out of the National Park.

Go. 1.4 miles and turn left just before the campground office (sign says: Elkmont Nature Trail 0.3, Little River Trail 0.6 and Jakes Creek Trail.). Follow the road to Jakes Creek and continue on around the one-way loop to the Appalachian Clubhouse and you will be making a LEFT to get to Spence Cabin. (Nearest street address is 500 Elkmont Road, Gatlinburg, TN)
You should contact my wedding coordinator the day of the wedding. She will be able to help you with any questions or concerns. When the day comes, I will provide her contact information.
‘Dressy casual’ is our attire request for our guests. It will all be held in the woods, so we want you to be comfortable. Also, if possible, we are asking our guests to please wear darker colors... ie, plum, burgundy, dark green, brown, navy, black. Please no bright colors or white. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes that are suitable for gravel and dirt. Remember, it will be in October, so make sure you dress warm enough.
Unfortunately, no, there will not be any phone service for any cell phone carrier where we will be.
We are having our guests to book a place on their own. There is no designated spot where everyone will be staying. We provided recommended hotels/cabins on the tab labeled “Travel” if you would like to use those recommendations.
There are limited spots available to park as it is in a National Park and not a typically wedding venue. My best advice would be for guests to coordinate with each other to come up with a car pooling plan.
