Albuquerque International Sunport
The Albuquerque International Sunport is the closest airport to all of the wedding weekend festivities. Located in the city of Albuquerque, this airpot is a short car ride from all hotels and vacation home rental suggestions. *If renting a car, there is a convenient shuttle service located in the airpot pick up area that will take you directly to the Sunport Rental Car Center.
Travel Note
Car or Ride Share? Which to choose!
Albuquerque is best traversed with a rental car or using a ride share service. The public transportation leaves something to be desired! For transportation planning purposed please note that the ceremony location is about 25 minutes outside of Albuquerque in Placitas, New Mexico. The reception will be in held back in Albuquerque immediately following the ceremony.

We highly recommend setting up the Albuquerque International Sunport for your "Pick Up/Drop Off" location as this will be the most convenient for those flying into Albuquerque for the wedding!

Albuquerque and the surrounding area have a number of wonderful neighborhoods for out-of-towners to stay in while here for the wedding weekend. We suggest finding homes in Albuquerque, Corrales or Placitas. A vacation home rental can be a great option for groups wanting to stay and hang together for the weekend. Below are our recommendations for the best areas/neighborhoods to stay while you enjoy your time in New Mexico: Albuquerque is the biggest, small town ever! If you are looking for access to amenities such as restaurants, breweries, shopping, museums, and other things to do we suggest staying here. The following areas are your best bet for a good experience- Sandia Heights, Northeast Heights, North Valley, Los Rancho De Albuquerque (the reception will be here), Nob Hill, North Campus, Uptown, Old Town, and Down Town. Placitas, the bride’s hometown, is a beautiful and scenic town nestled up against the Sandia Mountains about 20 minutes north of Albuquerque. The homes in this area all have incredible views making it the perfect location to experience southwestern serenity. The wedding ceremony will be held here at the Las Placitas Presbyterian Church. Many of the homes in this area are larger and would be great for groups planning to stay together. Corrales is a lovely little village located in the green bosque just off of the Rio Grande River. Situated in northern area of the city of Albuquerque, there are a number of beautiful old adobe homes, rich in New Mexican history. This area is also relatively close to the reception site. For those who want to venture out of the Albuquerque area and take in the beautiful New Mexican desert along the way, Santa Fe may also be an option (located about an hour north of Albuquerque)! *If you have any questions or concerns about homes or locations please do not hesitate to reach out to the bride or groom.
