We kindly ask that only those who are formally invited, as stated on the wedding invitation you received, are in attendance. If you've received a plus one on your invitation or were invited as a family, all guests in your party will appear under your name when you RSVP here. Thanks for understanding!
As much as we love your little ones, we respectfully request no children at our wedding unless their names have been listed on your invitation/RSVP.
We have room blocks at three local hotels in downtown Mobile. Please see the "Travel" tab here on our website for more information and to receive our discounted rate!
We'd love to see our family and friends dress up with us! We are kindly asking our guests to abide by a Semi-Formal dress code. For women, this means a cocktail dress, or a long or midi-length dress, or a tailored jumpsuit. For men, we encourage a suit or a blazer with dress pants, a button-down shirt, and a tie or bow tie. Bridesmaids will be wearing espresso brown. Feel free to wear whatever color you'd like, as long as it is not white :)
The ceremony will be a full Catholic Mass, lasting about one hour. The Mass begins promptly at 5:00pm, so we encourage guests to arrive around 4:45pm or earlier to get settled and have everyone ready.
We will be providing a shuttle service between the Hampton Inn & Suites-Downtown Historic District and the Spring Hill College campus. The shuttle will pick up guests at the Hampton Inn & Suites beginning at 4:00 PM and will depart promptly at 4:15PM. The shuttle service will be unable to wait for guests that arrive to the pickup location after 4:15PM. After the reception, the shuttle will be transporting guests back to the Hampton Inn & Suites. Guests may also choose to drive themselves or take a separate ride-share to the college campus if preferred. Parking is available on campus and these details are listed here in the FAQ section.
Enter the college from either Dauphin Street or Old Shell Road. Please note that you will need to exit the campus from Old Shell Road after the reception as the Dauphin Street exit will be closed. A map showing visitor parking may be found on the Spring Hill College website (www.shc.edu under "Student Life", then "Parking and Transportation"). Parking spots will be available in the lot adjacent to Stewartfield and also in the Nan Altmayer Place lot near the chapel. Please note that no parking is allowed on the circular driveway surrounding the Rydex Commons in front of the chapel. Please let us know if you have questions about where to go!
Absolutely! While there are both Lyfts and Ubers, there is a golf cart shuttle company (MOB City Rides) that services the downtown Mobile area for a small fee. Simply call or text 251-367-7433 for a ride!
We respectfully request that guests do not take photographs during the Mass/Ceremony. As we tie the knot, please be our guest. Our photography/videography team will take care of the rest! As for the reception- we encourage all the photo taking! Thank you!
After the Mass/Ceremony, please join the "Second Line" as we make our way from St. Joseph Chapel to Stewartfield for the reception. This is a short walk across campus. History of "Second Lines": Developed in the mid-to-late 19th century, blending West African cultural traditions with European musical influences in New Orleans. The newlyweds lead the procession, umbrellas in hand, while the wedding party and guests follow the band with handkerchiefs. The second line is also a popular and cultural activity in Mobile, deeply integrated into the city’s festive traditions, particularly during Mardi Gras. Second lines are celebratory, community-led brass band parades and are an outward sign of joy and starting a new life together!
The reception will be held both indoors and on the back lawn of Stewartfield which is located on the campus. Cocktails, dinner, and dancing will take place outdoors under the Oaks! Please be aware that there will be a dance floor but the majority of the area is grass.
