Josh and Chloe both attended Boston College, but their story doesn’t begin there. Why you might ask? Well Josh was in the library and Chloe was in the bars, so it’s safe to say they never crossed paths. Fast-forward to 2018, Chloe had just landed a job at HubSpot, where Josh had worked for the past two years. A mutual BC friend Ryan Lee (peep him in the wedding party!) introduced the two of them via Facebook messenger. Like the true sleuth she is, Chloe stalked Josh’s Facebook profile, so she knew exactly what he looked like. On the contrary, Josh had a full-on conversation with Chloe, never once clicking on her profile (who does that?!). During her first week on the job, Chloe recognized Josh from across the office and went up to introduce herself in person. Josh had no idea who she was and was in a rush to some meeting, so let’s just say they didn’t start off on the best foot. It would take months for Josh to dig himself out of that hole, but over time, a genuine friendship flourished. They spent many afternoons working from the same booth in the office, which would later turn into dining from the same booth at restaurants. Josh considered these to be dates, but Chloe considered them friendly hangouts. It would then take Josh another few months to dig himself out of the friend zone… But with patience and persistence, he finally did. A late fall trip to Portland, Maine would change everything. What are two “friends” doing planning romantic weekend getaways to quaint east coast towns, you might ask? Josh's thoughts exactly. Nevertheless, they left for Maine as besties, and returned as a couple. And it’s been nothing but adventure ever since! Including a cross-country road trip, a first shared apartment in Boston’s North End, a move across the pond to Dublin, and the most epic proposal in Santorini, Greece. Next up: a fairytale wedding at an Irish castle on 5.25.25. We can’t wait to see you there!
