Our dress code is semi-formal. Our wedding is in fall and we are leaning in hard on the theme, so we encourage wearing fall colors! Our ceremony will be held outdoors which will be beautiful with the fall leaves but, since it will be outside, please wear something suitable for grass (wet grass) and possibly layers as it will be fall in Washington. Most importantly we just want you to feel your best in whatever you wear! Some ideas: Midi or full-length dresses, jumpsuits, stylish suits or dress pants with a blazer, collared shirt, and dress shoes. The ceremony is outdoors in October in Washington, so while we’re crossing fingers for sunshine, it may be chilly or damp. We suggest bringing a layer or dressy jacket and shoes that can handle grass. Kind ask: Please avoid wearing white or creams, so the bride can have her moment in those shades. Otherwise, have fun with it we can’t wait to see everyone looking fabulous and feeling great! Feel free to ask if you are concerned!
Yes! However, we kindly ask that you wait until the day AFTER the wedding to share any photos or details online. We're navigating some delicate family dynamics and would really appreciate keeping the date, time, and location private until the celebration has passed. Thank you so much for understanding and helping us keep things smooth for everyone.
Our ceremony starts promptly at 3:30 PM, so we recommend arriving around 3:00 PM to park, find your seat, and take it all in before the magic begins. We love a fashionable guest but not a fashionable entrance. So please plan to be on time!
The reception will wind down around 10:00 PM, as our venue requires music to be off by then. We’re not planning an official after-party so soak up all the fun, food, and dancing while it lasts! We can’t wait to celebrate with you all night (well, until 10)!
Our venue is Sadie Lake Weddings, located at: 333 156st NE Arlington, WA 98223
Yes, there will be parking signs and a dedicated parking area. There will also be people directing you once you drive onto the property.
The ceremony will be outdoors (fingers crossed for that classic Washington sunshine!), and the reception will be indoors. Our plan is to celebrate under the sky, then head inside to party as long as the weather plays nice! If not, we’ve got a beautiful backup plan ready to keep the good vibes going, rain or shine.
The weather for October in Washington is always a bit tricky, with the average at 62 degrees. Hopefully it will be sunny, however, we are known for our rain. We recommend bringing layers and/or a jacket, and keeping an eye on the forecast as the day gets closer. We’re hoping for sunshine but either way, it’ll be a gorgeous day to celebrate!
Short answer: Yes! Long answer: We’ll be serving a selection of beer, cider, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks. Our venue has a strict no hard liquor policy and may shut down the event if any is brought on site, so we won’t be serving or allowing hard liquor. Please don’t bring any to help us keep the party going! All drinks are complimentary, but the selection will be limited to what we are providing.
We’re excited to share that our entire meal will be gluten-free! We also know many of our friends and family have unique dietary needs, and we’re doing our best to accommodate everyone. When you RSVP, you’ll find a section to let us know about any dietary restrictions or allergies. Please fill that out so we can make sure there’s something delicious for you, too!
We’re very excited to share that all of our vendors are locally owned, and most are also female owned businesses. We’ve been intentional about choosing vendors who share our values and reflect what matters most to us. Especially during challenging times in our world, it’s important to us to support our community and the people within it.
Smoking and vaping are allowed outside only, and we kindly ask that you do so away from the main gathering areas. Some of our guests have allergies and sensitivities, so please be mindful and respectful by stepping away from the group when you light up. Thank you for helping us keep the space comfortable for everyone!
We kindly ask that you keep our ceremony unplugged, so please refrain from taking photos or videos during that part of the day. We want everyone to be fully present with us in the moment, without screens in the way. That said, you're more than welcome to snap photos during the reception and other events! We can’t wait to see the day through your eyes, just not during the vows.
We’re considering arranging a hotel room block, but would love to gauge interest before moving forward. The closest hotel to our venue is the Tulalip Resort! We love this hotel because it’s beautiful, has a shopping center nearby, and is less than a 10-minute drive from the venue. Please let us know if you’d be interested in staying there!
Since we’re having a smaller wedding, we’re happy to answer anything that’s on your mind! Feel free to message Hannah for a timely response, or Manny if you’re not in a rush, since his response time is about 10 to 12 business days (give or take).
