Great question. We prefer to think theme versus costume – whatever Fleetwood Mac[rame] evokes in you. If you'd like some inspo, we gotchu covered – check out our outfit + vibe moodboard here: https://pin.it/3Ai7Iqb ✨
Kids are totally welcome at the super casual Friday night event. Saturday, however, is child-free both at the celebration and after-party events.
The venue does not have dedicated parking, and parking can fill up fast on the weekends, so we'd suggest ride-sharing! 🅿️ If you do want to park nearby, here's more info on the Fisherman's Wharf lot which is the closest paid lot: https://maps.app.goo.gl/WHNLxCzZYqmKtKB38 🅿️ There is also paid parking at this lot which is directly between the venue and the after party: https://maps.app.goo.gl/CrpaByEMtXcvtzVg6
During the day, getting a car is super easy/quick. If you need a very early or very late ride, however, it can take a while to get someone. Taxis can also be tricky to schedule ahead (we had one cancel on us at 4a for an early flight, for example), so try to schedule everything after about 7a or before about 11:30p if you can.
Not at all! We're just so stoked that folks are coming into Monterey for the weekend we wanted to sneak in a little more time with ya. Friday is a casual come-and-go. Just please let us know in the RSVP what you decide so we can plan accordingly.
Girl, beach weddings in NorCal are picturesque, but rugged. It could just as easily be 50 degrees or 70 degrees, foggy or sunny. We suggest peeping the weather the week before, bringing layers, and anticipating some light wind and chilliness, especially in the evening. Or, do what lots of tourists do: come unprepared and buy cheesy warm Monterey swag while you're here. 😜
Please...don't. 🙏 We looove that giving and receiving gifts is your top love language, but after significant downsizing, we just don't have the room for more stuff (and really want to avoid stuff ending up in a landfill over time if we can help it). We'd much prefer to do something experiential with you – going out to dinner; or dancing; a hike; a meal over FaceTime; a peek into your Monterey adventure; or some other hopefully low/no-cost way to come together near or far. Make that #1, but if you really wanna give, our registry options are so so so appreciated.
Love your persistence, henny! In the ceremony venue, we will have a little altar to invite in all the ones we wish could be with us and/or to honor those we have learned so much from along the way. 🕯️ If you'd like to participate, bring a tiny token as an offering (a piece of cloth, picture, herb, shell, coin, etc. – no bigger than a deck of cards, and easily [and legally 😂] packed in a carry-on). We would love to include it alongside you. If you don't pick it up at the end of the evening, we'll assume it's okay to keep, and will treasure it with our other tokens.
Our venue will have lots of outside beachfront space with fire pits to relax and chat if you just want a little fresh air. Oh, and some lawn games, too.
