The Klawans family has been supporting this organization (formerly the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, JDRF) for nearly 30 years as they continue to work towards a cure. Lupus Research Alliance (www.lupusresearch.org): Melissa's dear friend, Alex, has been living with Lupus for over 20 years and is a true Lupus Warrior. The Lupus Research Alliance's mission is to fundraise research for dedicated Lupus treatment options and a cure.
