Dog Mountain (WA) - this is a more challenging hike, but well worth it for the panoramic gorge views and wildflowers

This is such a fun activity and a good option for those who don’t love hiking, but want to explore the scenic gorge area! Take a chance to explore the Gorge on an electric bike or cruiser bike. Enjoy sightseeing, waterfall chasing and joy-riding on the Historic Highway State Trail.
The Gorge Paddling center has options for everyone! Enjoy a chill paddle around the protected bay, or head out to open water and battle the winds on the Columbia River. They rent kayaks, paddle boards, and e-bikes and offer tours for those who do not feel comfortable on the water without a guide.
The Hood River Valley has a rich agricultural heritage, resulting in 14,500 acres of pears, apples, and cherries that cover the valley today. Wander down the 35 miles of scenic country roads on your self-guided tour and create great adventures with family and friends, while exploring the abundance of farm products grown in the valley. You will encounter 30 on-the-farm fruit stands, wineries, breweries, cideries, and fields of flowers.
