You may recognize the St Francis name from the CVS aisle, but don't be fooled. Their working vineyard has elevated vintages that can satisfy any palette! This winery is closest to Santa Rosa and the most affordable when it comes to tastings. And you're sure to be poured an extra wine or two to sample. The tasting area overlooks a beautiful mountain landscape.
HALL has such an interesting and sprawling vineyard. They have modern art pieces sprinkled throughout, including a larger-than-life giant metal rabbit statue that welcomes visitors at the entrance. HALL is known for their reds and even has a floor-to-ceiling (and to-wall!) bathroom to represent this. If you enjoy red wines, this is THE place to go! Make reservations as far in advance as you can, this is one popular place!
Have something "fancy" in mind? Like sparkling wines? This is the place for you! This extravagant estate is home to a huge garden with sculpted bushes and ornate flowers - guests are invited to taste sparkling wines on their huge patio and roam around the scenery.
Mandi's Favorite! This classic spot actually expanded into several locations throughout northern California. Joel Gott also is a wine producer who owns several vineyards. Here you can find elevated finger foods, local wines, and craft beers. Best of all, you can get a great meal for a really low price and eat on communal picnic benches in the shade!
The Carneros Resort is something you just have to see to believe. The resort is home to several farm-to-table restaurants, a wine bar or two, and communal lawn games and gathering spaces. It is a resort that also offers cute bungalows (I heard they even have wine dispensers inside) and overlooks miles of vineyards. This is a great place if you have time to spare and would like to wander around with a glass of wine!
Farmstead is.. you guessed it.. a farm-to-table restaurant. What makes Farmstead unique, other than its amazing food, is that the restaurant itself is situated amongst a garden growing the ingredients that will eventually be served to the guests. If you're lucky, you can even sit outside with a living wall full of vines to grant privacy!
Tour a winery in style with a Pinzgauer tour! Gundlach Bundschu is home to a wide variety of tastings and tours, including an experience that takes you into their wine caves. Known as "Gun Bun", this is a very playful estate that presides over hundreds of acres.
