In July 2023, while Hannah was on her first night alone as a travel nurse at YRMC Hospital in Prescott, she received report from a nurse named Mitchell. Hannah's first thought was, "aw, he's cute but he probably has a girlfriend." For the next few weeks, Hannah didn't see Mitchell and honestly, he slipped from her mind until she saw him again in early August. Mitchell had switched to night shift and was finishing up orientation as staff. His patient assignment was next to Hannah's so they ended up getting to know each other. Turns out Mitchell was single! They connected pretty well and agreed to go on a hike together sometime. Before they left for the day, Mitchell gave Hannah his number (after he reminded her because she forgot). :) A week or so later, Hannah showed up 2 hours late for their pickleball date with Taco Bell and a good explanation! To make it up to Mitchell, she asked him out on a second date the next night for drinks. They shared their first kiss in front of Prescott Pub House, then went to In-and-Out for late night burgers! Less than a month into dating, Hannah told Mitchell she bought a golden retriever puppy prior to meeting him and would be picking up Cleo on her road trip back to Georgia in November. Coincidently, golden retrievers are Mitchell's favorite dog breed! When Hannah brought Cleo back to Arizona, he jumped right in and helped raise her. Mitchell and Hannah continued to spend time together, sharing laughs and making memories along the way. They trained Cleo and watched her grow into the best dog, met each other's families and friends, took road trips and flights, worked through disagreements, celebrated holidays and birthdays together, cooked meals side by side, and more. As time went on, Hannah and Mitchell became best friends, fell in love, and realized they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. On March 31, 2025, Mitchell proposed to Hannah on the Mogollon Rim and of course, Hannah said "YES"! Now they get to throw a wedding with the most wonderful family and friends at a local farm they have traditionally visited every year since being together.
