Our Story

Our story is a series of almosts that led to a perfect moment. Though we shared countless mutual friends and attended the same parties, fate kept us just out of reach for years—Ashley leaving a room just as Jeffrey entered. It wasn’t until we both joined the International Club’s trip to Atlanta that our paths finally crossed. From entertaining the bus with improv games to exploring the Georgia Aquarium, we felt an instant connection, finding every reason to stay close. Our relationship deepened over many dates—experimenting with recipes and Jeffrey surprising Ashley with home-cooked meals in the library as she studied for finals. Finals led to graduation, and one graduation led to another as Ashley earned her doctorate in Physical Therapy at Elon University. Just days after Ashley passed her boards, Jeffrey proposed, and Ashley said “Yes,” marking the start of our forever. Our story is a testament to serendipity—how life brings people together at just the right moment.
