We’re getting married!

We met our sophomore year at Valley High School in 1994. Brian’s dad Coach Krause was the A.D., so Brian had made the change from MI to AZ. When his dad gave him the grand tour of the High School, they stood at the gym door and he told Brian, if you date anyone, date her (pointing at me while I had basketball practice). So unbelievable how things workout. We never dated, only best friends our Senior Year, and we even sat together during graduation. As soon as that came, he left and went back to MI, I left and went to NC. We lived life separatley for 20 years. In that time, we’ve somehow kept in touch. Whenever we called and spoke to one another it was like time never went by. There was a sense of joy and happiness we both had for whatever was going on in both our lives at that moment. It was until October 15, 2016 that I received a text, that he’ll be in AZ. I thought he was joking, but he took a 57 hour Greyhound bus ride to Phoenix. To this day he says he will NEVER ride a Greyhound again!! lol The next day we had dinner at Applebee’s and ended the night with a magical kiss. I was caught off guard, but made sure we connected again. He came into my life in God’s time and in a time when we both needed one another. His proposal... he won a good hand at Wild Horse Pass casino, left there and bought me an engagment ring. That same day he came home and started dancing to Beyonce “Single ladies (put a ring on it)” I was laughing and saw that it was a proposal. Of course, shocked and completely happy to say yes!! We are both excited and blessed to find one another again!!
