This urban trail became popular in our later years at Georgia Tech and connects Piedmont Park to Krog Street Market (another favorite of ours) and beyond. Get your steps in while taking in local art and views of the city. Shops, restaurants, and breweries line the path so you definitely won't get bored, no matter what you're interested in. *Within walking distance... if you've got your tennis shoes*
This French-inspired cafe is a local favorite for their extensive coffee menu and absolutely incredible dessert case. Their cheesecakes and cake slices are to die for. Their food is great too! *Within walking distance*
Some people like the iconic Silver Skillet, but Thumbs Up is our go-to hole in the wall spot for breakfast (if we're not craving Chick-fil-a, of course). Make sure to get there early to avoid waiting, and bring cash because they don't take credit or debit cards.
We love taking walks and runs through this ginormous park. Check out the Saturday morning farmer's market for food trucks and stalls from Atlanta locals - be on the lookout for our favorite, the fresh bagels and cream cheese. *Within walking distance... if you've got your tennis shoes*
Our favorite food hall in the city! Among other delicious options, Fred's Meat and Bread has THE BEST burger we've ever had. We have an ongoing debate whether the burger or the Philly is the better option, but you can't go wrong with either.
We loved spending time at breweries during our time at Georgia Tech, and we loved this one especially because it overlooks Piedmont park and it's home of our favorite local beer - Atalanta. Not into sours and IPAs? Other popular hometown breweries we love are Sweetwater, Monday Night Brewing, and Three Taverns.
Coca-Cola's headquarters is located in Atlanta, just across the street from Georgia Tech's campus. The World of Coke is a fun spot for the whole family to visit to take in the history behind the drink and brand. At the very end of the tour, you'll get to try all the Coke products from around the world!
